The Lord summoned Samuel for a third time, prompting him to rise and approach Eli, declaring, ‘Here I am! You have called me.’ It was then that Eli realized the Lord was in fact calling the young man to the Elders, for all must be unveiled clearly, without ambiguity. From the Elders, we can receive healing for our wounds and guidance on our behaviors and lifestyles. We shall find similar support and outcomes, as long as we refrain from relying solely on our own judgments and biases. Ultimately, this understanding is pleasing to God, as evidenced by the parallel teachings found in the Holy Scriptures. It is noteworthy that the Lord chose not to instruct Samuel through direct divine messages; despite being the chosen one, he had to return twice to the elder.
