The timber imported from Hiram, referred to by Josephus as peugh trees, was utilized as structural support for both the temple and the royal palace, as recorded in the account found in the book of Kings (3 Kings 10:12). Furthermore, in the narrative of the current history, these trees were employed for the construction of steps in the temple and the palace.
