The archangel proclaims that he will go back to his homeland laden with riches. Similarly, Antiochus will return to his kingdom overflowing with wealth and plenty in all aspects. His focus will be on the sacred covenant, and he will make a determined effort to eradicate the law established by God for the Jews. Once this plan is formed, he will execute it fully and then return to his own territory. This is revealed through the accounts in the book of Maccabees and the writings of Josephus.
