Why did God place the Israelites under both oaths and blessings? The Lord Christ, having imparted His flawless teachings to the faithful, assured them of a heavenly realm for their obedience, while warning the disobedient with the prospect of damnation. However, to the Jews, whose minds are focused on worldly matters, He bestowed both curses and blessings pertaining to earthly existence. For those who struggled to believe in tangible miracles, it would be challenging for them to embrace the realities of eternal life.
