Refrain from entertaining any sinful thoughts. To the ascetic who feels overwhelmed by formidable adversaries and harbors doubts about achieving victory over them, God assures: “Thou canst not destroy them soon, lest the earth be empty, and the beasts of burden be multiplied against thee: but little by little the Lord thy God shall destroy these tongues from thy face.”
