Jerome of Stridon

4th centuryChurch Father

The Israelites, who once walked in righteousness, have strayed from their just path. They have turned away from the Source of righteousness and engaged in wrongdoing by denying the Son of God. For the transgression and offense he has committed, he will face death—not for the sake of many, but for one—having taken the life of the Heir to obliterate the inheritance.
