The number seven is often associated with the grace of the Holy Spirit, as John reveals in the book of Revelation. He describes the Lamb appearing as though it had been slain, possessing seven horns and seven eyes, which he explains as 'Which are the seven Spirits of God sent into all the earth' (Rev 5:6). The prophet Isaiah further elucidates this when he foretells the incarnation of the Lord, stating: 'And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and godliness; and he shall be filled with the fear of the Lord' (Is 11:2-3). Additionally, the two rows of nets on the pillars symbolize that both Testamental fathers received the gift of election through the same grace of the seven-seeing Spirit.
