In verse 28, Devvora describes how the mother of Sisera mourned deeply for her son after his death. This detail stands out as a testament to its authenticity. Typically, it is the wives or children who grieve for fallen warriors, not the mothers. A later author might have portrayed the sorrow of Sisera's wife and children, but that is not the case with Devvora. She recognizes that Sisera had no wife or children, only a mother who grieves for her lost son.
