Marcus the Ascetic

The one who perfected the sixth day (Num. 29:29) through divine actions and intentions, having accomplished His works in harmony with God, has through reflection risen above all creation bound by nature and time. He has entered into a profound understanding of the eternal and the ages, resting in a mysterious manner with the mind and celebrating a complete detachment from created beings while being exalted above them.
