Jerome of Stridon
Canath, a settlement in Arabia now known as Canatha, was named Naboth when Naboth claimed it. This area belonged to the tribe of Manasseh and was situated in the region of Trachonitis, close to Vostra.
Nobe also went, and took Canath with the villages thereof: and he called it by his own name, Nobe.
