Beginning with the phrase, 'And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying...' and continuing to where it mentions, 'And he built there an altar unto the Lord' (1 Samuel 7:3-17), the Scriptures reveal how our Lord Jesus Christ ministered in Judah, performed miraculous deeds, endured suffering, triumphed over death, ascended to heaven, and bestowed the grace of the Holy Spirit, thereby making not only the Jews but all nations heirs of His grace. After the death of Elijah, Samuel took on the role of a priest and urged the entire nation of Israel to forsake foreign deities, instructing them to dedicate their hearts to the Lord and serve Him solely, promising His deliverance from the Philistines.

The Lord, who established a new priesthood in the order of King Melchizedek and who manifested in the flesh, calls upon the whole house of Israel, meaning the Church, composed of those who earnestly seek to know the true God while rejecting the customs of the Pharisees. He calls not only for deeds, as instructed by the Law, but also for the very hearts of the people to serve the Lord exclusively.
