How are we to interpret the statement that ‘Sadok and Abiathar the priests, and Jodai the son of Jepher, was a priest of David’ (2 Sam. 20:26)? Sadok and Abiathar held the position of high priests, while Jodai, also a priest, resided in the king's palace, regularly attending the Divine altar and conducting the king's sacrifices.
