Thorns symbolize sinners, as indicated in Scripture: “But the wicked shall be as thorns thrown out, which are not taken by the hand.” The Lord bears thorns upon His head (Matt. 27:29), signifying that He has taken upon Himself our transgressions through His Body, enabling humanity to produce fruits deserving of repentance. It is essential for everyone to understand that the path leading to eternal life and the kingdom is a challenging one, for it is fraught with thorns. Christ the Redeemer, who proclaims, “I am the way and the truth” (John 14:6), came to guide us into His kingdom along this thorny journey.
