‘At the conclusion of those days,’ he remarks, they also exhibited exceptional beauty and health. Observe the miraculous nature of this; see how the Creator reveals His handiwork. Just as a sculptor is not solely one who can melt metal to shape it, but equally one who can refine an already crafted statue, so is it with God and these young men. The continued vitality of their bodies after such minimal nourishment serves as a testament to divine power, just as much as the creation of humanity from the soil. They even refrained from eating bread; note that there is a significant distinction between raw and prepared wheat. Strength is not solely derived from what one consumes, but also from the preparation of the food offered, recognizing that seeds are not uniquely suited to be cooked. It is important to understand that their request stemmed not from ambition, but from a pressing necessity. They did not test their circumstances without reason, but rather as their need dictated. The souls of the young men were far removed from selfish aspiration. Consider too that their admonishment of the elders arose purely from necessity.

How could he perceive it when the provisions, equitably shared, were rendered ineffective by Amelsar? Yet, he too benefited from observing that the chosen individuals from foreign lands outshone the Hebrew youths in physical beauty and stature, as well as in wisdom and the intelligence of spirit, eloquence, and all realms of practical knowledge. The king did not stop at mere comparisons; he posed specific inquiries, seeking truth through examination.

Ultimately, he discovered that these youths surpassed their counterparts not just in excellence, but to an extent tenfold, realizing in that moment that the Israelites possessed wisdom greater than that of all other nations. Following this revelation, the Prophet declared:
