The sixty cities ruled by Og symbolize the mystery of the sixty generations that were under the dominion of death, starting from Adam until the arrival of Immanuel. There are twenty generations from Adam to Abraham, followed by forty generations from Abraham to the Crucified One, not accounting for those generations noted by the law of marriage, which are referenced solely in the Gospel of Luke. Additionally, these sixty generations can be understood as a representation of the sixty queens of Solomon, as well as the sixty valiant men who stood by Solomon’s funeral bier (Song 3:7).
