In ancient times, the primary aim of life was viewed through the lens of polygamy. This practice was regarded as the pinnacle of joy, and it was not viewed as immoral to share one's bed with multiple wives, as long as the family grew into a vast multitude. Childbearing was embraced as a manifestation of God's favor. The Sovereign promised this blessing to both the faithful who lived before Moses and those guided by the law. As He stated, ‘There shall not be a barren or unfruitful’ widow among the children of Israel.
