This refers to the ram designated for the 'ordination of the priesthood.' The initial two sacrifices were general, required by divine command for everyone, while the final, third sacrifice was specifically intended for the consecration of Aaron and the priests. With its blood, along with anointing oil, they were sprinkled upon those chosen to fulfill the roles in God's service. As indicated in Leviticus 8:3, 22-24, through the blood of the ram of ordination, Moses anointed Aaron and his sons, applying the sacred blood to the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the big toe of the right foot of each priest. Their holy garments were also consecrated with this blood.
