Theodoret of Cyrus

God declares that you have transformed the city into a place of desolation, populated by countless dead. Therefore, your aspirations will not come to pass, nor will your life’s conclusion be one of ease. Instead, you will soon fall into the hands of the adversaries you dreaded, becoming a target for their weapon.
