He provided from the seed of the land, and in the field of the harvest above many waters. These are the Hebrews who stayed in Jerusalem.

Theodoret of Cyrus

The Prophet has ceased to refer to Jerusalem as Lebanon, instead calling it a field of fruit, as the kingdom has endured greater humiliation. The heavens over many waters are depicted in a manner that implies subjugation and the tribute levied upon it.
