What astounding depths of evil! First and foremost, the act of killing their children represents the highest level of depravity; yet, to offer such heinous acts as sacrifices to demons marks an alarming escalation of wickedness. Furthermore, to commit these atrocities on the Sabbath, when even necessary labors were prohibited, reveals an even greater moral decline. To then approach the sacred place after engaging in such deeds—can there be any greater degree of evil? For this reason, God has placed this at the forefront, stating, "And this is what they do in the midst of my house;" meaning that they dare to commit this wrongdoing in the sanctuary dedicated to Him.
