Following the conquest of Jerusalem, reports reached Babylon about those who had escaped. The narrative addresses those residing among the ruins of Jerusalem, particularly focusing on those who, despite their captivity, continued in wickedness and ignored the prophet's messages. The attention then shifts to the shepherds, referring to the rulers whose negligence led to the scattering of the flock, representing the nations. It is important to note that during the period from the twelfth year of the tenth month — on the fifth day, marking the exile of Jechoniah and his companions — to the twenty-fifth year, when the temple was established on the mountain with the city completed, and the extraordinary ordinances of the church were initiated, there is no specific year mentioned.
