Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

Look, I will comprehend the tribe of Joseph, which is in Ephraim's possession, along with the neighboring tribes of Israel, and I will unite them with the tribe of Judah. They will become a single staff in Judah's hand, meaning I will cause those who had previously separated from the kingdom of Judah to recognize its sovereignty once more. I will terminate the discord that has arisen and will ensure that all the tribes submit to Judah in harmony. He explains this concept even more clearly.
