God ordains that the priests should be granted properties in the outskirts of the city, extending ten thousand cubits from east to west and from north to midday, and an additional twenty-five thousand cubits so that they may, as the scripture states, utilize the tithes and the offerings of the firstborn, deriving sustenance from the land, enabling them to live in peace, pursue justice with love, remain content, and avoid coveting more while not causing harm to the people. As it is noted in Ezekiel 45:9, the elders of Israel are urged to reject all forms of wickedness and malice, instead upholding judgment and righteousness, and to eliminate violence among the community, declares the Lord Adonai.

He subsequently outlines regulations concerning weights and measures, emphasizing that fairness and equity must prevail in these matters, instructing that there be a single standard in both receiving and giving. He clarifies that one kor consists of ten homors, with each homor containing ten quinixes, thus a kor contains one hundred quinixes. Furthermore, he indicates that an ephi is a measure equivalent to one quinix. He declares that fifty shekels make a mina, with each shekel equaling twenty ovols. He designates ten kotyls of oil as a homor, identified as a tenth part of a korah. He also commands that the offering of wheat and barley should be one-sixth of a homor, which is half of the medimn; this is because a korah comprises thirty medimn, and a homor is one-tenth of that quantity. Therefore, three medimn must be contained within a homor, and a sixth of three medimn will equate to half a medimn. It is stipulated that from ten kotyls, one kotyl must be offered, and similarly, a tithe of a sheep should be given. All these contributions, it is stated, should be presented to the elder for the necessary sacrifices, enabling him to perform offerings during feasts, new moons, and sabbaths, and to intercede for the people before God. He then instructs on the rituals to be observed in the new month of the tenth month, on the fourteenth day, and in the seventh month, referring to the offerings in the seventh month as sacrifices. For it is written: "The sacrifice of unleavened bread to the calf, and of unleavened bread to the ram, and of oil to the unleavened calf;" where I have discovered in the Syrian translator that this corresponds with the term gemina.
