He further clarifies the promise he made and the oath he swore. He declares, “I will greatly increase your descendants like the stars in the sky.” He reiterated this to the patriarch, stating that his lineage would be so vast it would match the multitude of the stars and the grains of sand. He adds, “To your offspring, I will grant all of this land; through your seed, all the nations of the earth will be blessed.”
