Upon their return to their father, they recounted all that had transpired, sharing the anger that the Egyptian ruler had shown towards them and how he had incarcerated them under the accusation of being spies.
And they came to Jacob their father in the land of Chanaan, and they told him all things that had befallen them, saying:
וַיָּבֹ֛אוּ אֶל־יַעֲקֹ֥ב אֲבִיהֶ֖ם אַ֣רְצָה כְּנָ֑עַן וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ ל֔וֹ אֵ֛ת כָּל־הַקֹּרֹ֥ת אֹתָ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃

When Joseph's siblings came back to their home with the provisions they had gathered, they recounted to their father the calamity they had encountered during their travels. They carried the wheat with heavy hearts to their father in Canaan and shared with him the troubling questions they faced and the anger of the ruler they had encountered.
