Samson, remaining steadfast in his resolve and mocking her deceit, declared that if he were to be tied with seven fresh ropes, he would become vulnerable to his foes. However, this too proved ineffective.
And he answered her: If I shall be bound with new ropes, that were never in work, I shall be weak and like other men.
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלֶ֔יהָ אִם־אָס֤וֹר יַאַסְר֙וּנִי֙ בַּעֲבֹתִ֣ים חֲדָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־נַעֲשָׂ֥ה בָהֶ֖ם מְלָאכָ֑ה וְחָלִ֥יתִי וְהָיִ֖יתִי כְּאַחַ֥ד הָאָדָֽם׃
