The Philistines approached Delilah and offered her a sum of one thousand one hundred denarii each, in exchange for the secret behind Samson's might, which would enable them to overpower and seize him. Having previously exchanged her virtue for wealth, she began to cunningly investigate the source of his extraordinary gifts and superiority over others, using the allure of indulgence and pleasure to mask her intentions, all while feigning admiration for his remarkable strength. Cloaked in false concern and affection, she implored him to disclose the secrets of the ties that would bind him and render him submissive to the authority of others.
