Cyrill of Alexandria

Upon their questioning about the reason for his situation, they discovered that he had been employed by Micha as a Levite and appointed as a priest for his false gods. Rather than feeling compassion for him as a captive, deceived wanderer, they swiftly immersed themselves in their own treachery. They insisted that he consult the idol and reveal whether their plan to conquer the land they were investigating would be fruitful.
