The latter section of Devvora’s song narrates the confrontation with Sisera, mentioning several Canaanite kings, while Judges 4:2 refers to just one king, Jabin. This indicates that he was a significant adversary; King Jabin was merely the leader of a broader coalition of Canaanite kings, who should be viewed as his supporters. A parallel instance of this coalition is presented in Numbers 11:1-5. King Jabin of Hazor summoned a host of Canaanite kings to aid him in his conflict against Joshua.
