It is noted that the bodies of the fallen warriors of Sisera were swept away by the waters of the Kishon, known as the stream of Kedumim. What does the term Kedumim signify? 'Kedumim' is not a specific name but rather a descriptive term. It can imply 'ancient,' as the term is utilized in Proverbs 8:23, where it refers to the creation of Wisdom before the ages; alternatively, it can denote 'battles,' derived from the verb kadam, meaning to fight. Therefore, it should be interpreted as 'the ancient stream' or 'the stream of battles.' However, since no prior conflict has taken place in this region, it is best understood as 'the ancient stream of Kishon.'
