Cyril also emphasizes the significance of the sacrifice of praise, instructing on its proper presentation. He states, “This is the law concerning the peace-offering which is presented to the Lord: If anyone offers it in gratitude, they shall bring unleavened loaves mixed with oil, along with unleavened cakes anointed with oil, and wheat flour anointed with oil—loaves blended with oil. Additionally, let them include leavened bread in their offering as part of the peace-offering of thanksgiving. From everything presented, one item shall be given as an offering to the Lord; it shall be for the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace-offering. The flesh of the peace-offering of thanksgiving must be consumed on the day it is offered and should not be left over until morning” (Lev. 7:11-15).
