In determining the most appropriate arrangement for sacred ceremonies, God places the Levitical system under the authority of the high priest, as revealed in the book of Numbers: ‘declare to the Levites and tell them .... and you shall not die.’ Can you discern the ordinance of Christ, prefigured as though still veiled in shadows and symbols? For ‘he that receiveth tithes, ... gave tithes,’ in accordance with the teachings of the blessed Paul (Hebrews 7:9).
