We accompany Christ even as we navigate our earthly existence; however, our lifestyle is not driven by fleshly desires but by spiritual aspirations. We strive to create a dwelling and a place of rest that is pleasing to Him. The book of Numbers offers us a vivid example of this. When the sacred tabernacle was established in the wilderness, it was, as described, enveloped by a cloud. Just as that true tabernacle, which is the Church, was raised and illuminated upon the earth, it too was filled with the glory of Christ. I believe that the cloud covering the ancient tabernacle symbolizes this divine presence.
