The wise individual listens to the call of wisdom herself. From elevated and populous places, she proclaims her message to everyone and, recognizing that she possesses both truth and significance, she illustrates her divine attributes and actions as the hypostatic Wisdom. This Wisdom grants her followers strength, wealth, and prosperity. She is a co-creator alongside God the Creator and has a hand in the formation of the world; now she invites all to heed her teachings, assuring them that they will gain wisdom and happiness. The Lord established me at the beginning of His ways, at the outset of His works.

The original Hebrew text uses ‘kanani’ meaning ‘acquired,’ suggesting that instead of the Greek rendering ‘created,’ it is more fittingly interpreted, as affirmed by the holy fathers in their discussions with the Arians, acknowledging that He ‘acquired’ as denoted in the translations of Aquila and others, in alignment with the Vulgate found in Psalm 138:13.

They remain vigilant at the gates of wisdom and keep watch at its doorways. These phrases illustrate the relentless passion and commitment of the seeker.
