Paul asks all to whom he writes and whom he names to greet one another with a holy kiss. This means with the peace of Christ, not by the impulse of the flesh, but in the Holy Spirit. Such a kiss is spiritual, not physical. “All the churches of Christ greet you.” When he says this, it becomes clear that there is also a church that is not Christ’s. David too calls the company of the impious “the church of evildoers.” In Ps 25:5, both the Septuagint and the Vulgate use the word ekklesia.
