Let faith remain vigilant: the events unfold before us; they are observable, continuously happening, and made apparent, even to those who refuse to acknowledge them. “Behold,” He proclaims, “the days are coming when I will remove your strength and the strength of your father's lineage, so that no elder will remain in your household; you will witness the destruction of My dwelling among Israel, and there shall be no elder in your house for all time. I will not entirely remove from you what belongs to My altar, to afflict your eyes and distress your soul.” These prophesied days have indeed arrived.

There is not a single priest of Aaron's lineage; and any who remains, upon recognizing the profound esteem in which the Christian sacrifice is regarded and how this significant honor has been stripped from him, finds his eyes dimmed, and his soul beset by intense sorrow. These words are directed toward the household of Elijah: “All the offspring of your lineage shall perish in their prime.”
