As he pondered these things, the Lord communicated with Nathan the prophet, who conveyed the message to the king. In this revelation, God stated that it would not be David who would construct a temple for Him, and for a specific period, He had not instructed anyone among His people to erect a house of cedar. He said, “Thus say unto My servant David...”

It is stated that Christ will be the true house and temple of God, leading to the decline of the old temple and the establishment of a new one. In the Second Book of Kings, it is written: The word of the Lord came to Nathan, saying, ‘Go tell My servant David, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Will you build a house for Me? Here is what will occur: When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your descendant from your own body, and I will make his reign strong. He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. Your house and your kingdom will endure before Me forever; your throne will be established forever” (2 Kings 7:12-16).

Furthermore, the Lord declares in the Gospel: Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here upon another; all will be torn down (Matt. 24:2); and additionally: after three days, I will raise up another that is not constructed by human hands (Mark 14:58).
