Maximus the Confessor
The devil consistently acts in opposition to righteousness and wisdom, moving the elements of nature and time in a way that aligns with his own agenda, thereby initiating an unseen conflict, much like Adraazar who incited the two Syrians against David (Psalm 59:2). The name 'Adraazar' can be interpreted in Greek as 'one who undermines strength' or 'one who brings about ruin,' signifying the adversary who, through cunning, initially weakened the spiritual might of our nature by leading humanity into disobedience against God's command, thereby ensnaring mankind in the grasp of time and the natural world. Without this bondage to time and the natural order, the devil would be incapable of engaging in battle against humanity.
