Moses states that when they heard the voice of God emanating from the fire, signifying the clear sounds of the voice delivering the Ten Commandments amidst the cloud and smoke, lit by the flames, and as they observed the mountain ablaze with fire throughout God’s presence, they gathered through their elders to declare, "Behold, the Lord God has revealed His glory," meaning that He has shown Himself to us through tangible signs. They recounted how they heard His voice from the heart of the fire and were filled with fear, worried they might perish in the wake of such a magnificent revelation of God's glory. Thankfully, their trepidation proved unfounded; for this day, they realized that God speaks to mankind, and through this divine communication, one can truly live—demonstrating through personal experience that the Lord can indeed converse with humanity face to face, granting life in His presence.
