Your statements. This pertains to the conversations between the Israelites and Moses that we have examined, along with their plea to him, which is not included in the parimia, asking that he be the sole intermediary to speak directly with the Lord and convey to them whatever the Lord chooses to reveal through him. The Lord regarded this sincere request of the Israelites favorably and instructed Moses to assure them that He would communicate His will to them through him for a time to come. “I have spoken unto them,” Moses declares, indicating that he has relayed the Lord's command to them. The subsequent verses of the narrative are drawn from Deuteronomy chapter 6, and they provide a continuation of Moses’ address to the Israelites prior to their entry into the promised land.
