Cyril. As my words approach their conclusion, it is appropriate to remind ourselves that we should be steadfast in pursuing what is righteous, viewing our efforts as acts of virtue, and trusting that it is God alone who grants us salvation and empowers us to conquer those who stand against us, regardless of their might. To illustrate the significance of not engaging in fruitless endeavors, but rather enduring hardships for the sake of virtue, let us consider the lesson from Moses, who declares in Deuteronomy: 'And remember all the way in which the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for forty years, to humble you, to test you, and to know what is in your heart, whether you will keep His commandments or not' (Deuteronomy 8:2).

Nor does He allow those who clearly perceive the hand of their protector to succumb to cowardice. Furthermore, Moses states: 'If thou say in thine heart, "These nations are more numerous than I; how can I drive them out?" do not be afraid of them; remember what the Lord your God has done to Pharaoh and all Egypt, the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, the wonders, and the strong hand and the outstretched arm by which the Lord your God brought you out; the same shall the Lord your God do to all the nations you dread' (Deuteronomy 7:17-19).
