The grandson of Horus, who was alongside Moses at Rephidim and assisted him by holding up his hands during the battle (Ex. 17:10), was entrusted, along with Aaron, with the leadership of Israel while Moses was on the mountain (Ex. 24:14). He has been designated as the chief steward of the tabernacle, responsible for all its furnishings and the holy garments. The Lord states, "I appoint." This significant commission by God not only concerns the leaders of the people but also includes those who are to undertake the tasks He has commanded. Therefore, as Governor Cook observes, every act of work, every effort, whether involving knowledge or skill, holds great value before the Lord if it serves a righteous and beneficial purpose, comparable to those in higher positions of authority.
