The grandson of Horus, who assisted Moses at Rephidim by supporting his hands during the battle (Ex. 17:10), and was entrusted alongside Aaron with the leadership of Israel in Moses' absence from the mountain (Ex. 24:14), is designated as the chief steward for the work related to the tabernacle, its furnishings, and the holy vestments. The Lord declares, "I appoint." The English Common Bible emphasizes this solemn commissioning by God, highlighting not only the leaders of the people but also the laborers charged with executing the divine directives. Thus, as Governor Cook notes, every effort, every endeavor, and every application of knowledge and skill, if aimed at a noble and beneficial purpose, holds equal significance before the Lord as work within the higher ranks of governance.
