In the realm of diversity, we encounter variation, heterogeneity, and differentiation, yet to transcend this multiplicity and encounter the true God, the singular One, is to elevate oneself to a higher state of divine contemplation. This concept is exemplified by Moses, who established the mental tabernacle as described in Exodus 33:7, 11-23, allowing him to engage directly with God. It is perilous to attempt to articulate the inexpressible through spoken language, as speech inherently carries duality and often more complexity. Instead, perceiving realities silently and with a unified spirit enables one to dwell in undivided oneness rather than in fragmentation.

The Lord answers Moses' plea by reaffirming the earlier promise to personally accompany the people and to exalt them above other nations. This honor arises from Moses' intercession on their behalf, which has granted him unique favor with God, placing him in closer proximity to Him than any other individual.

The Lord affirms the prophecy articulated by Moses through His word. The phrase “I know thee by name” signifies “I have summoned you because I understand your essence.” The Lord distinctly called Moses by name from the midst of the burning bush (Ex. 3:4). This personal call illustrates the unique intimacy of God’s relationship, characterized by covenant and promise. In prophetic scripture, the prophet Isaiah conveys God’s message to Israel: “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine” (43:1).
