This verse 30, echoing verse 12, creates a link between the previous narrative and what follows. In verses 26 to 30, the roles of Moses and Aaron, their relationship with Jehovah, and their mission are succinctly outlined. It is important to remember, as we have mentioned before, that the sacred texts were inscribed on rolls of papyrus. It is likely that the generations discussed in this chapter were contained within a specific papyrus, and that this current text revisits the conclusion of the previous scroll, allowing for a seamless continuation of the story.
