Regarding the exile of Jechoniah, it is stated that he was confined by the Gentiles and taken to Babylon. It is also prophesied that Jechoniah would perish in Babylon and would not make a return. The Prophet conveys this message in the following words: "Let not his voice be heard in the mountains of Israel."

Theodoret of Cyrus

Jehoiakim was not taken into exile but instead met his end in Jerusalem, enduring the various afflictions previously mentioned. It is therefore understandable why the Prophet likened the onslaught of the army against him to an encounter with a lion, describing the chains placed upon him as a bridle and a cage. Just as he identified himself symbolically as a lion, he uses this imagery to reflect on his circumstances, recognizing that bridles and cages are fitting for such a creature. Following this depiction, he transitions to a different parable and remarks:
