I will remove your turban and your crown, preventing you from entering the temple for the priestly service. I will exalt the humble one, Jesus son of Josedech, while I will bring low the high one, meaning Sadok.

You, O priest, have lost your priestly garments due to your sins; and you, O king, have lost your crown through your wicked deeds. Thus, let both this authority and the other relinquish their tokens, for this siege is unlike any previous one; your reign has ended. The Prophet elaborates: You have brought down the proud and lifted up the humble through injustice, employing wrongdoing in your actions; you have brought low the lofty by righteousness and raised the lowly through your unrighteous words, disregarding justice. Therefore, the Lord declares:
