And I will increase the fuel and ignite a fire, causing the flesh to rot and the richness of the young to decay alongside the bones. It will grow lean upon its leaders, be ignited, its bronze consumed, its impurity removed from within, and its venom diminished. Let its poison be subdued, and it shall not depart from him. I will lift up the leader, says God; that is, I will intensify the beginnings of woes and provide ample fuel for the flames of devastation to incite that fire and bring the inhabitants of the city to ruin. Some will perish from hunger, akin to charred bones, while others will be ensnared by numerous misfortunes, much like tender meat boiled in a pot.

The extreme heat will obliterate the very yuha, along with all elements essential for relief, until ultimately even the bronze will melt down and be consumed along with the poison. When the defenders of the city were vanquished, the city fell, was plundered, and surrendered to flames. Nonetheless, says God, despite the multitude of calamities that have befallen it, it remains unpurged from its poison, as the tendency to sin persists within. Therefore, He declares: Many is his poison, and his poison will be brought to shame amidst your defilement, a dill. In your wrongdoing, says God, you have created a sore; you have ignited this fire due to the abundance of sinful toxin within you, which, now revealed, shall be covered in disgrace. Because you have stained yourself and have not purified yourself from your impurity: shall you not be cleansed according to these matters until I have poured out my wrath upon you? If you will not tend to the wounds, you shall not find forgiveness, nor will you have access to cleansing until you have been justly punished for all your transgressions. Thus, it is not the falsehood of the statement that is validated by the nature of the individual.
