The holy Scriptures, aiming to illustrate the source of their jealousy, declare: ‘And all the wells which his father's servants had dug during the lifetime of his father Abraham, the Philistines slew and filled with earth.’ Notice the extent of their wickedness; their envy of the righteous is evident even in the water.
