John Chrysostom

Jacob tended to the remaining small livestock of Laban. What type of cattle was he tending? Those that were solid in color, without any variation in their fur. This was all orchestrated so that the righteous man could witness the magnitude of God's provision for him, while Laban could recognize the divine assistance that Jacob was receiving.
